Glenfiddich 12 yo Special Reserve

Reason:

I wanted to highlight the international popularity of the Glenfiddich 12yo Special Reserve and demonstrate why it is the world's favourite single malt scotch whiskey.

I have used a popular Chinese combination of green tea and whiskey. The Glenfiddich 12yo has a subtle sweetness with hints of Apple, Honey and Ginger which works perfectly with the refreshing tannins in the Green tea. The result is a cocktail that is refreshing and unique.

The Green Dragon Julep

Build:

60ml Glenfiddich 12yo Special Reserve
15ml Honey Water
8 leaves Apple-Mint
2 slices fresh Ginger
Pinch Green Tea Powder
Method: In the bottom of a Boston glass smash the ginger and combine with the Apple-Mint, Honey Water, Glenfiddich 12yo.

Now add the Green Tea powder (Green tea powder is very strong so only a minimal amount is required).

Fill the Boston glass with cubed ice and shake vigorously releasing the flavours in the green tea, ginger and mint. Double strain over crushed ice into a julep cup.

Garnish with a fresh sprig of Apple-Mint.
