What is the name of Your Glenfiddich Signature Cocktail?

Spanish Solera Sour

Tell us about your Signature Cocktail & Why you designed it?

A twist on the classic whisky sour. I tried to work with the sweet sherry notes with the use of grapes and figs then added cinnamon for some spice. It is a pretty simple drink that doesn’t overpower the whisky.

Who do you envisage Drinking your Signature Cocktail?

I think my drink is fairly accessible. I’ve made it for both, a 20-year-old friend who usually drinks French martinis to an industry professional who is far more experienced and knowledgeable with drinks. I received good reports from both parties. So I suppose if you enjoy a good sour, then you would enjoy this drink.

How long have you been in the bar industry?

2-3 Years

What do you have that makes you Untouchable?

Maybe I think I'll let the judges decide that!

What is your best advice for younger players?

Listen, learn, ask questions, get second opinions, get third opinions, visit great bars and watch the bartenders in action, get fourth opinions, read books, drink, respect your superiors.

If you could pick any Glenfiddich variant to take with you on the plane to Scotland if you win, which one would it be?

I'd be happy with any of the Glenfiddich range.

And who would you most like to sit next to and share it with?

Probably someone who enjoys scotch so maybe my girl. She loves scotch and is pretty entertaining after she has had a few. Ha!
