Reason:
I've chosen the 12yo primarily because the soft fruit notes which prevail on the nose and in the mid palate of the dram match excellently with the inclusion of the fruit liqueurs following. Additionally, I've avoided the 15yo for this drink because it is citrus dominated, and the delicate notes from the Solera ageing process are best suited to stirred or very subtle beverages.

Method:
The drink I've created is a citrus dominant martini style drink impeccably balanced and designed to tantalise every part of the palate. The plum wine lends additional abv and the Japanese element to the drink, including a lovely coupling with the soft pear notes found in the Glenfiddich. I chose grapefruit so the dram has more of a chance to shine through (grapefruit being less acidic and dominant than lemon juice). The Noilly Prat lends excellent mid palate complexity coupled with rich crème de mure and helps the whisky linger at the back of the palate. Cardomon for some spice interest and to complement the subtle pine notes. Lastly a touch of egg white to soften out the citrus. Turn this baby into more of a kiss!
